Letting a 300-voice choir be heard

When Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, moved into its new campus with a 3,000-seat sanctuary, its 250- to 300-voice choir was hard to hear, and services lost energy. TRG was part of the campus’s audio, video, and lighting installation and helped the church find a better solution.

We supplied demo microphones so the church could test them with the full choir in rehearsal. They chose the AKG C414 for its gain before feedback and natural tone, and the choir finally filled the room the way it was meant to.
